From start to finish the staff were welcoming, kind and really helpful. On arrival, Mali one of the receptionist gave us a tour of the hotel. Mark showed us to our room and showed us how to use the hot tub etc. We enjoyed the using spa facilities and we also dined in one of the hotel restaurants called Mizumi. Parking on the doorstep which is a bonus being in the centre of Kendal. Check in was simple having already completed the online form. Facilities available were explained to us and we headed up to our room. We were a little cross with ourselves for not bringing our swimming costumes!! Room was spotless and lovely and warm. Bathroom was also clean. Love the fact that in the bathroom they have a note saying if you’ve forgotten toothpaste/brish/razors etc they have them at reception, simple but brilliant should you need. We had a great view of the river from our room, we couldn’t have asked for more. We didn’t eat or drink here but the bistro looked beautiful and inviting. Whilst the rooms aren’t super modern, they are comfy, clean and the staff are brilliant. We will choose to book here again when we head up to Kendal.
