2/10 Terrible

"The staff has a terrible attitude and are incompetent. They are incredibly rude and unable to communicate anything clearly unless it is the price of one of the many things they are trying to upsell you. The management only cares about squeezing money out of you and making you feel like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to be there. In the end, they even admitted that it's all part of their new marketing strategy. I've stayed there many times before but left without staying this time and would never go back. Profit over guests is never a way to earn loyalty. I'm glad I had this experience - it allowd me to discover the much better Cheval Residences right around the corner - where they actually care about their guests."

"Bailey’s Hotel was wonderful. We were first timers to London and the hotel location was perfect for walking to the many sites or taking the Tube which was directly across the street. The room was comfy and quiet, the staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was nice for a late night cocktail. Breakfast was delicious although we just ate there once in our week long stay. Would definitely stay here again."

"Overall our stay was fairly good. The staff were excellent; friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The location was excellent with a tube station and tourist bus close by. The Executive room we stayed in however, was below the standard we expected. The refrigerator didn’t work. Some bathroom tiles were held on with adhesive tape. The bath and surrounds were chipped in parts and had been poorly repaired. The chrome had worn off the tap over the vanity. The welcome which came up on our television each morning greeted people other than ourselves. This was a little off putting and was in no way welcoming for us."

"We stayed 5 nights. There were many good qualities of this hotel but it certainly did not live up to our expectations of a five star hotel. Most significantly, the thermostat in our room did not actually control the temperature in the room. We spent five hot days and nights. We called several times to have this addressed and were given thinner blankets, but they did not seem able to fix it, nor did they offer any acknowledgment that it was an unacceptable situation. Fortunately, two of the windows cracked open, so that helped relieve the heat, but it could not keep the room cool. As well, the coffee machine in the room did not work, and after having it replaced, it still did not work, and finally did so on the third time. Strangely, there was a TV in the shower, but it didn’t work either! The staff was generally not very friendly, and the front desk was often unattended. Communication with the staff did not improve the experience. Again, not what you expect from a five star hotel. Here is what was good about the Hotel: The beds were comfortable. It was well decorated and our room was spacious. We had paid for an upgrade. There was room for our luggage and drawers to unpack into. There was a bathtub. There were complimentary snacks and drinks in the room. This is an extremely well located hotel if you want to be in a thriving residential neighborhood and close to the metro. We did not eat in the hotel so I cannot speak to their food. Sadly, I would not return. "
