"A small, homely hotel near Sherwood Forest. Comfortable rooms, very clean. A great bar with delicious and high-quality dishes and dinner at reasonable prices. A baby cot is provided upon request of very good quality. I was a little upset when the staff discussed political issues with the guests at the breakfast. Several nationalities were called stupid and inadequate, which is generally unacceptable for the service sector. Breakfast could have been better. There is no one at the reception all...

"Booked myself and my black Labrador in for 3 nights. Spacious room, nice decor and very clean. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows. The full English breakfast was spot on with good quality items. (Thank you Ben). All the staff were engaging and very helpful. Great value for money! Would highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again should I be down that way again."

"Read poor reviews but we were welcomed by the manager who showed us the room. Nice but a bit compact. Meal at night and breakfast good. Enjoyed our stay and would revisit. There is mould just above the shower on the ceiling and can easily be removed if resolved now. But it does need attention "
