"We had a wonderful time at Gran Hotel Salerno. The room was spacious and clean, the staff was very polite and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There were many gluten free and lactose free options at breakfast. Best of all was the balcony with a view of the sea! We will definitely return!"

I stayed in the hotel relais paradiso the last week in August 2015. My friend and I shared a twin room with direct access to the pool from our little terrace.
The hotel staff were very friendly and couldn't do more to help us. On 3 separate occasions we were brought fresh fruit to our sun loungers compliments of the hotel. By the end of the week they had memorised our breakfast coffees and had them on the table waiting for us by the time we had returned from the buffet.

The location of the property is one of the main features. Right in the heart of Amalfi without having to climb any of the narrow staircase alleys.
The property is also very well maintained and clean.
The only thing we didn't like about our room is that there wasn't a window facing outside. So I'd enquire about it before booking.

Whilst a bit out of town (and some narrow roads to get to it), the staff are fantastic and it is such a calming place. Great to have a slightly cooler temperature to relax in the evening. Great food as well. Even managed a superb hike from the hotel with great views over the Amalfi - stunning, and a beautiful cathedral / monastery right on the door step. Will definitely be returning soon.

The room is just beautiful, the view is spectacular and the service matches its perfection. The view from our balcony was just stunning, the location right at the front of the port was perfect for travelling around and the service and breakfast was exceptional. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay,

The Hotel Margherita was recommended to us by a friend who visited last year and I am delighted to say that we found that his glowing report was not an exaggeration.
On arrival the friendly staff came out, took the luggage up to the room and parked the car in the garage. We had booked a room with a sea view and on reaching our room we were greeted with a delightful panoramic view of the coast and the surrounding headland. Our air conditioned room was tastefully decorated, and with the full...

We got an upgrade to a suite which was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed our stay. We ate dinner at the hotel. The food was really good. We stayed only one night.

We stayed here at Villa Yiara for 4 nights. It is a lovely bnb with stunning views of Positano, and such a great price. We had room number 1, with a jet shower (not jacuzzi bath) and a balcony. So pretty, the room is lovely with fresh flowers and super comfy bed.
Every day reception would check with you what time you would like breakfast the following morning, usually by phone. Then they call to check you are ready! Brilliant service. We had breakfast everyday on our balcony. The room has...

The simple white interiors reflect the ancient history of this old monastery, now a top quality hotel perched on the side of the cliffs, overlooking Amalfi and the sea. Spectacular views and wonderful service! Regrets that the 'infinity pool' is only open from May to September, note that this is not mentioned on their website.

The hotel was wonderful, the grounds and inside beautiful all facilities were superb. Breakfast was lovely with loads of choice and all waiters really took care and looked after us. Rooms were lovely and room service excellent. All the staff made us feel welcome and were amazing at giving us advice and help especially as we had several problems with lost luggage and a car problem did everything they possibly could to help us. Nothing Wes too much bother. We loved our stay and will go back and...

We had a basic room which WAS basic but very clean (basic meaning dated) we stayed 4 days and the room cleaning service was excellent, breakfast was continental, WiFi was a bit hit and miss but okish, no SKY in the basic rooms,, ideally situated for Pompeii as its literally across the road, didn't know until we got there that entry is free every 1st Sunday of the month. I'm glad we didn't pay for a transfer from the airport to the hotel because there's a bus outside the airport (outside...

The best area to stay in Raito is within the village itself, particularly around the main square and along the few streets that branch off it.
Raito is a small, elevated village perched above the Amalfi Coast, offering spectacular views of the Bay of Salerno. The village centre is compact and built on a hillside, characterised by narrow, winding lanes, stone houses, and steps connecting different levels. The main square, Piazza Andrea Sorrentino, is a central gathering point with a church and a few local shops. It's a peaceful spot, superb for those looking to escape the busier coastal towns.
Couples looking for a romantic and quiet escape will find Raito ideal. The charm of the village lies in its authentic Italian character and breathtaking vistas. You can enjoy leisurely strolls through the historic lanes, discover hidden viewpoints, and dine at local trattorias with uninterrupted sea views.
When is the best time to go to Raito?
The best time to visit Raito is during the spring (April to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.
During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, ideal for exploring the village and its surroundings without the intense heat of summer. The spring brings blooming flowers, adding to the beauty of the landscape, while early autumn offers warm, sunny days superb for enjoying the coastal views. This period also generally sees fewer visitors than the peak summer season, allowing for a more relaxed and authentic experience.
Couples looking for a romantic and tranquil escape will particularly appreciate these shoulder seasons. You'll find it easier to secure reservations at popular restaurants and enjoy uninterrupted strolls through the village's narrow streets, perhaps discovering a quiet spot for a coffee with a view. The milder weather is also superb for scenic drives along the Amalfi Coast.
Families travelling with children will also find these times advantageous. The less extreme temperatures make outdoor activities more enjoyable for everyone, and the reduced number of tourists means less waiting in queues and more space to explore freely.
