The Fairmont Peace hotel is ideally placed on the Bund and Nanjing Rd. It is a 2 minute walk to the tourist tunnel which is the best way of getting over the river to Pudong. We have stayed at many different Fairmont hotels and the standard of accommodation and service is always the same.

Very new hotel in a new area. Very convenient for the NECC where I was attending the China Cycle show. They had a shuttle bus to the show each morning which took 10 minutes (although it was not advertised anywhere). No idea if they offered a return pick up service as that wasn’t advertised at all either. It’s a simple 30 minute walk or 10 minute taxi ride though. We loved our stay here which was friendly, cool and comfortable. The hotel serves the business person but also the tourist and does it so well. From the minute we checked in until check out we had great service, a brilliant corner room which was comfortable, clean and felt luxurious. I couldn't find anything native to say about the hotel. All good. It was so close to all the amenities, the metro, shopping and parks and museums.

Location of hotel is excellent. It is just off Nanjing East Road. Metro train line is just a few minutes away and it is about 15-20 minutes from the hotel to the Bund. Airport transport to and fro the hotel is 250Yuan each way and the journey is around 40mins.

Stayed two nights in November. Arrived early after overnight train and staff were extremely helpful and had room ready for us within an hour. Romm itself was great- stylish and well equipped. Need to take care with sunken bath right next to bed though !!! Breakfasts were good and lovely bar/beer garden.

A fantastic stay from start to finish.
