"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."

As soon as we arrived Trevor came to the door to welcome up, he was really enthusastic and gave us as much information as he could! They’d had a cancellation so he also upgraded us for free. The room was amazing and had little extras, like tea, coffee, hit chocolate pouches if you wanted to make a drink. We were only there for two days and so wished we’d booked longer, can’t explain how much we loved it

We stayed in this lovely guest house for two nights as we were attending a family funeral. We arrived at about 3pm on the first day and were greeted by a lovely lady who explained where everything was and showed us to our room. We had a king room which was absolutely huge, with a massive, very comfortable bed, a large and comfy sofa, a large bathroom with an excellent shower and a really big TV on a rotating wall bracket (to make it watchable from anywhere in the room). Stayed over Easter weekend. Arrived Friday night and was greeted by one of the owners, Bonnie.
We have a double room, well sized with lots of storage. Bed was soft and good for a few nights with been uncomfortable. Ensuite was good as well and the showers hot. All rooms look to come with a TV (limited to ITV and C4 channels only) and welcome book with the WiFi information (good for streaming)
Breakfast has to be preordered by 7pm he day before, good range of hot food on selection...

Great hotel, great location and lovely staff. Very welcoming and friendly. Bus 591, 555 stops just outside the hotel and can take you anywhere whether it’s Windermere, Grasmere, Keswick all very easy to commute. Some great restaurants around. Staff extremely friendly at the reception. Breakfast top notch - 10/10 for Manuel who takes orders at the brekkie area , always smiling. Would highly recommend.

The apartment was fantastic, plenty of space for relaxing in the lounge, whipping up a quick snack in the kitchen (which was very well equipped with toaster over, stovetop range, cutlery, plates, and a small refrigerator). The bed was extremely comfortable, and the hotel is set back far from the small highway, so no noises disturbed our sleep. The bathroom had a bathtub and shower set up, complete with jets that we only discovered on the last day. Also a towel warmer, which was a very pleasant...

Ideal location with easy access from motorway. Well presented resort with nice views from lodge over lake and plenty of things to do on-site. Staff always well presented, polite and very helpful, always seem to enjoy what they are doing. Nice restaurant with plenty of food choices which are reasonably priced. Definitely will be going back.

Lovely stay spotless room . Bed really comfortable great night sleep . Staff very polite and helpful. It was nice to be served by who I believed to be the actual owner you don’t see this in many hotels . Large property spread out over 2 main buildings and garden chalets . On arrival I thought the chalets looked in need of a little maintenance on the outside but I am sure that inside they are as well maintained as our room (21) that was situated in the main house . Had a light menu early meal...

Hotel was quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly,
Only gripe and I suspect this is what it limits it to 4* is a swimming pool and exercise facilities.
Breakfasts were excellent,
This was off season and hotel was quiet. Views from room of lake were spectacular.
Hotel was very dog friendly to the extent of providing dog bed and bowls.

Great stay, hotel is immaculate and staff are very friendly. We were offered vouchers to redeem at the bar for drinks instead of maid service which we took. Maid still came in one day which was nice. We arrived on a Saturday and it was very busy. There was a wedding on so lots of kids running around. If you’re looking for a quiet trip book another day and avoid the weekends if you can. Wasn’t too bad and we didn’t mind.
Spa is fantastic and we enjoyed a spa day with 2 course lunch. Loved it! I...
