We loved Glendowlin Lodge and for us it was a very different location to past visits to the lakes. Different but great. The lodge was very comfortable with lots of room for our party of four adults and a dog. We will come back again and would recommend it for others.Negatuves:The WiFi is not free unless your with EE.The driveway was a bit tight for a long car to turn round in front of the lodge. We had a very good time in this cottage. The quiet location with the nice views from all the windows, a lot of space to relax outside, the inside of the cottage with the cosy livingroom, the kitchen with all equipment to make good meals, the dishwasher :-), the bedrooms with comfortable beds and the two bathrooms: perfect for a family of 5! We highly recommend this place!The start of a lot of beautiful walks in the Lake District are within 45 mins. distance.We visited Keswick, Ambleside, Grasmere and of course Penrith nearby. The Penrith Agricultural Show was very funny.
