"The rooms were clean but there was no housekeeping available during the three nights of our stay. We had to ask for more milk and tea which was not a problem. No breakfast was available, but dinner was. This was of good quality for the price. The rooms are slightly tired, but probably suffering from lack of use during Covid restrictions. "When booking I didn't realise the hotel was right next to the ticket office to Wookey Hole Caves, what a bonus. Checking in was easy and the staff were very informative. After a busy day we decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant. You do have to reserve in advance but the staff went the extra mile and fitted us in, we were very thankful due to having an exhausted and hungry child. We couldn't fault the meal, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The family room was a good size, including two single beds and a double, all comfortable for firmer beds. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We didn't hear any other guests, I believe it was busy due to the school holidays. We had breakfast at the hotel, you also need to pre book. Its self service, there was lots to choose from, freshly cooked full English, cereals, fruit, croissants etc. We filled up for the day. We found all the staff to be polite, helpful and as I said previously, they went the extra mile. How refreshing to come across good customer service. Thank you."

"We wanted a cheap overnight stay last minute and booked this hotel. It is actually a newer building to the savoy (but the same chain). It still smells of fresh paint. We got what we wanted with this hotel. All the amenities available, clean room, bedding and linen, the shower was hot. There was a TV with remote, wifi access and a kettle (plus some complimentary tea and coffee). The hotel has a few limited parking spaces outside (for £10). It has a feeling of being secure, with a key code access after a certain time at night. Its a stones throw from the beach and a 24 hour car park. The host Ali was very welcoming and seems like a very decent guy. Very helpful and gave us some good recommendations. If you want something clean, good location and good for the price I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely use next time we are down. Thanks very much"
