"The property was in poor condition, it looks like a small restaurant that has been converted to be a b and b. The room was very small and the bed (although it was a double) was small as well. The toilet handle was hanging off and didn’t flush properly without a bit of effort. It looks like it hasn’t been redecorated in a long time and the tv in the room was no bigger than a shoe box. The staff member we met was very helpful and had a very good attitude, but I think he is fighting a loosing battle. It’s definitely not worth the £145 that we paid so I would look somewhere else!"

"The Highland cows were very cute. It would be nice if there was information about the cows, like names and ages. There were weeds in the plant pots in front of the cabin - would be nice if they were flowers! The bed was very soft but that’s just my opinion. The cabin was very quiet and the scenery was wonderful! Parking was easy. Location was good - parked at Newcraighall park and ride and took the train into Edinburgh!"

"Staff were very friendly and the food was good. I had an evening meal when I arrived and breakfast on the 2 days I stayed. Evening meal was a burger and 2 glasses of wine that was a little expensive but was tasty and a good atmosphere in the bar where you dine. Room (Fountain Room) was not 'en suite' which was a surprise and whilst there was a 'private bathroom' across the public corridor it wasn't ideal and could imagine might cause a problem with some guests. I also had cause to pull the bed out so I could access the plug socket (there were only two in the room), and it was evident that when cleaning the room, the beds are not pulled out to hoover. Overall would consider staying there again but probably only 50:50."
