Good value accommodation for overnight work stay
The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with air conditioning and a good shower. The room was good value for money. The cooked breakfast was ok but in my opinion not worth the £15 charge and the sausage tasted a bit odd.

Accomodation was clean and tidy and welcoming. Room 4 was suitable to our needs with 3 family adults staying for a birthday trip away to Downton Abbey.

We stayed at the Furze Bush Inn to be close to our tour at Highclere Castle. The place is an authentic English County Inn, surrounded by greenery and space. There is a great pub in the front and a great restaurant for dinner. The staff is completely accommodating It’s a beautiful old inn and a charming experience!

Excellent stay.
Excellent. Very good dinner and breakfast. Room has everything you need and a powerful shower over a bath. Couldn’t open window but aircon worked.

Paper thin walls, extremely bare bones amenities, no staff after hours and breakfast only between 9:00-10:00am. Thought they were kidding about that, but … nope. However, dinner was much better than expected and the staff was quite nice.

We're sorry you thought the walls were paper thin, they are not, they are solid concrete walls with plasterboard on top. Unfortunately we cant control other, inconsiderate, guests who make excessive noise.Not sure what you mean about 'bare bones amenities',all our rooms are air-conditioned unlike most of our competitors, have an iron & ironing board, fine cotton sheets, Flat screen TV, powerful showers, tea and coffee facilities, free car parking, Complimentary Hi speed wifi and a Gideons bible. We are not a five star hotel with 24 hour service, but we do have staff on site and available for emergencies who will answer the phone at any time. We serve breakfasts from 9 til10 at weekends, because that suits the majority of our weekend customers.you could have requested an earlier breakfast, but didn't.We're glad that you found your dinner 'much better than expected' and that the staff were quite nice.Our quite nice staff thank you for your comments and will try to be even nicer in the future.

Lovely Inn/Guesthouse. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful pub/restaurant and gardens.. Rooms are a generous size and very comfortable. Food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast was superb. Nothing too much terrible. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

A little gem tucked away.
Beautiful location, really good restaurant for dinner and an excellent breakfast. Bedroom, shower and loo were spotless, tea and coffee making facilities in the room, also an iron and ironing board! Staff were so welcoming, very friendly and helpful with directions etc. It was a really good stay.

Another memorable stay in the Furze Bush inn.Clean, quiet, and comfortable .Staff friendly, helpful and totally human! Excellent freshly cooked breakfast to order. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We recently stayed here at the end of our tour of the UK. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would receommend it to anyone visiting the area. I had selected this Inn as it was close to Highclere Castle (aka Downtown Abbey) as we were going there the next day. Upon arrival we were greeted by the bar manager and quickly shown to our room. The room was great -- bed was comfy and plenty of room for two travellers with too much luggage!! We had drinks once we settled in outside in the garden. It was a lovely day and it was just like what you picture when you watch English tv shows when people are outside at the pub. We opted to eat in the pub dinner and the food was very good. NIce variety to select from - we each had the steak special which was not only very filling and tasty but the price was right too!! Breakfast was also served -- you were able to order a hot breakfast, and of course served on hot plates!! Enjoyed our stay and will definetly make the effort to return to this spot if in the area!!

What a find .
We stayed for one night in the big room in front . What a lovely room big everything you needed ,clean with a sofa and bed . The best bed ive slept in for ages ,the bathroom was lovely as well huge bath and great shower . We went down for dinner and a few drinks well what can i say it was amazing ,the staff were amazing very impressed they were brilliant helpful and interested in us and we had everything we needed . Thank you guys ... breakfast was also amazing plenty of it to set us up for the day please dont change anything .

A Nice Little Spot in the Country
We spent the night here while we were in town for an event at Highclere Castle. The innkeeper was so gracious and arranged taxis for us each way and another taxi in the morning (national rail strikes meant all of our plans were precarious at best). We enjoyed a drink in the pub before our event. We did not have breakfast (we had to leave early and they don't serve before 9). We enjoyed a walk to Yew Tree Farm down the road for lunch and enjoyed the footpaths around the property on our way back. Room was very clean and comfortable. Property is older and small but well maintained. Great stay overall.

Girly Weekend!
My friends and I had a fabulous stay at The Furze Bush Inn. We wanted somewhere where we could all share a room, and was close by to the places we wanted to visit. The Furze Bush Inn exceeded all our expectations. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. All the staff were friendly and helpful. All of our meals - breakfasts and evening meals were absolutely delicious. Overall our stay was great value for money and we would definitely look to stay here again. Would recommend to anyone.

Comfortable stay in lovely hotel
We visited Highclere Castle and the Furze Bush Inn was only a short distance away. We had a nice room with a double bed and single bed. Air conditioning was very welcome and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff were lovely. Nothing was to much trouble. We had a yummy meal in evening in the pub, then sat in garden with a g&t. Amazing puddings as well!

A perfect English country inn
The Furze Bush is a perfect little country inn! The service was incredible, the room was very clean and comfortable, the food was great and the location/atmosphere was beautiful. I highly recommend this inn!
