"Had a fantastic stay in Birmingham at the Holiday inn express. We were visiting as a family of 3 to go to Warwick Castle, Sea Life, cadburys world and a few meals out in the city centre. Anyways the Hotel was fantastic, massive shout out to Elsa (on the bar) Shadara (so sorry if I’ve misspelt your name) and Uma at breakfast. These 3 are complete superstars. From great service upstairs at the bar reception really nice with my little girl, and the same at breakfast. Will come back again due to the great service of these 3 epic ladies! Thanks again! "Overall this hotel is in a great location if you are attending an event at resorts world, and given that I would put up with it again, but I wouldn't stay at this property if I didn't have a need to. My main issue was the bed, even with a mattress topper it was hard. The mattress topper was also too short for the bed, so the pillow sank towards the headboard. Additionally the sheets were too short for the bed and spring free throughout the night. This resulted in me catching a glimpse of the mattress which was covered in black human hairs. There was also screws through the Lino in the floor and bath panel which I find to be rather unhygienic. I had room service, the staff were pleasant, but the food was no better than freezer food. "

"Good all round hotel but plonked in the middle of a modern industrial estate. A good 15 minute walk to the airport and NEC. Breakfast was good with a usual selection of cooked and continental. Staff were spot on! The only down side of our visit was that a refurbishment was going on at the time. Even the name of the hotel has recently changed to AC by Marriott!"
