"Lovely grounds, fantastic massage and great food.
Thought the spa facilities could have been bigger. A 30 min delay waiting for my massage with no apology or acknowledgement of the delay.
Rooms comfy but basic."

Considering the age of the property, dating from 1456, the rooms were beautifully modernised whilst keeping the original features. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and I honestly can’t fault anything. The only negative was the heat but nothing anyone could do about that!!!

This hotel is for chillers only. Just relax and forget all your worries. Fantastic food, great staff, top class facility. BUT; dont have a 2nd floor room when it's the hottest weekend of the year. Not that you'll know when you book but it was just too hot. No air conditioning just a small noisy fan so took the edge off the chill factor! However, its was a fantastic base to explore west Suffolk. Do try it.......
