Modern

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was cute, though small but not important for me. Great neighborhood with metro steps away.

Most comfortable beds!

Posted 11-Oct-2017
We stayed here 2 nights with 2 other couples. The location was great, and the rooms were wonderful. These were the most comfortable beds on our 12 day vacation! The hotel staff could not have been nicer. On our last day we had to leave for a flight at 5:30 am, and they had a breakfast to go all prepared for us. Only drawback is that it is on a busy street and the bars don't close until the morning, so there is some noise late at night.

Not a bad hotel for a Madrid City Break.

Posted 24-Sep-2017
Pros: price, 4 start rating and relatively close location to the city centre. The hotel is right next to the Bilbao Metro
Cons: Staff Helpfulness
Location: Relatively close location to the city centre.
I went for this hotel on the basis of the price, 4 start rating and relatively close location to the city centre. The hotel is right next to the Bilbao Metro station. Check in wasn’t a breeze as we had requested a twin room, but on arrival into the room we found that it was a Double. I went down to bring this to their attention, but was told that there were no twin rooms available, but there were balcony twin rooms available but we would need to pay extra if we want one as they were more expensive rooms. As this wasn’t our fault, I would have thought we should have been given a twin room if one was available regardless of its price given that it was a hotel error. We were told that they would have something available tomorrow, so we could pack up in the morning, leave our bags in the room and housekeeping would move our bags to the twin room when ready – that’s what we did, but not ideal. The room itself was fine, no carpets, but the bed was comfortable, everything was clean and the en-suite was terrific! Very spacious, complimentary toiletries, and again very clean. There was also a tv in the room, desk chair, safe etc. We didn’t opt for the buffet breakfast so can’t really comment on that apart from the fact it seemed very expensive and I didn’t notice anyone else having I either. So asides from the aforementioned disappointing start, no other complaints from me - not a bad hotel for a Madrid City Break.

Good location, nice room, contemporary style. Unfortunately air con in daughters room let off terrible smell, staff opened balcony door through day which helped but smell definitely there once door shut.

Unsatisfied

We were given the only room on 1st floor, very noisy, you can hear everybody walking on street and cars. Bathroom makes a liking noise. It is a dark hole at the end of the hallway, It looks like an empty space they had and converted into a room for extra profit. The shower had a horrible plastic curtain. We asked to be moved and were told for the price we paid there were no other rooms available. We had to pay money extra per night for an upgrade. The receptionist acted like she didn't care at all, she was like what ever you decide to do let me know. We paid for our room with months in advance and we were very tired, and in a different country otherwise, I would have walked away and go find another hotel. There is nothing worse than the feeling of you getting scammed or something like it and the profound indifference of the person who was supposed to help you (receptionist). Not what we expected of a "Hotel", you expect things like that from a pension or bed and breakfast place but from a hotel. So if you go these place and get room 001 do not take it.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We love Jose- the hotel's bartender. Employees are very helpful and accommodating. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfy. It is also close to public transport, shopping and restaurants. Can't wait to go back.

Very good hotel for the price, there's a subway nearby. The only con is that there's not always someone in the reception (although it's always less than 3 min to locate them)

Nice centric hotel in Madrid

Posted 23-Aug-2017
Pros: The decoration, the way the building is rebuild and the overall experience.
Cons: I would say those stairs in the main lobby, but I know for a fact is not possible to make a better solution for it.
Location: We didn't go there as tourist, but you have a bus and metro station right next to the door, so you can be in no time anywhere you want!
It's a super cute modern yet with an historical facade hotel in the center of Madrid. For us it was super handy, location wise, because we were close to family living there. The staff was super friendly, the room was ready when we arrived, and everything was very nice. The only things I would complain about is that it has 6-8 steps from the reception to the lift, wich is less fun with a baby still in a pram. There is a lifting platform, but someone in reception must turn it on for you, so we didn't bother using it, it was faster to lift the pram by hand by ourselfes. Oh, and the lift has glass doors, wich is kinda funny to see all the floors, but for scary and afraid of heights people like me, this is less. Room was clean, modern, nicely decorated (the huge mirror in the bedroom was stunning!) and the ammenities are supercute, with small spanish quotes that made sense with the product inside. We slept supernicely, without noises, supercomfy bed. And that shower, with a rainshower head... totally worth it.
