We arrived New Years day and they got us a room 1 hr early. There is a great coffee shop a few blocks away, El Horno and it is a 20 min. walk to the Metro station. The room was nice. The beds were comfortable.

It’s great for what it is. We needed a hotel near the airport for one night. Super clean and a terrific value. Limited dining option and it’s about a 15 cab ride to Retiro.

A budget, no frills hotel
A budget, no frills hotel. Ensure that you take your toiletries as the minimal provided are of low quality. Don't opt for the breakfast option as its not worth the additional charge and options are not avaliable. The location is also not too great unless you have work in the vicinity. The hotel is quite clean and most of the staff (except the guy at the front desk on the day I reached) are super friendly.

The hotel is dated or very old. There's no lobby. There's nothing inside the room.. it's bare. It's a horrible experience for me. There's a stinky restaurant onsite, but a Cuban man refused to give me some jus to accompany my breakfast. He's crazy. He probably forgot to take his psychotropic medication. He was very angry with me without provocation. Surely I chose the wrong hotel in error. And I regret my decision.

I am sorry that you did not feel comfortable during your stay. The hotel has just turned 14 years old and almost all the clients tell us that it is very well preserved. I inform you that the adjoining cafeteria does not belong to the hotel. Receive a cordial greeting.

Clean, quiet, pleasant staff. Taxi to airport was ordered and on-time as requested. The presence of an inexpensive restaurant on-site (Cafeteria Julia) is a real asset.

Great property clean and modern with comfortable beds and nice clean bathroom.Its a little further from the Center closer to the airport.Staff speak little English but they were helpful.Great way to connect with real locals if you want to live among where locals live.

Great Location
You buzz the door to enter the hotel, then take a creepy elevator upstairs 2 flights to the reception area; they were very gracious, showing you how to lock not just your room, but a separate interior door; room was spotless, but you could hear people coughing, etc; best part was the location! Super! Right by restaurants, shopping, taxis, central plazas; for the money, it was ok

Pleasant stay at Hotel Julia
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, mainly because it is close to a location I sometimes work, and have just completed a pleasant stay of 6 nights. The staff are always efficient and helpful. The room, although a little functional, is always very clean, as is the bathroom. The shower is very good, with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Prices in the restaurant are very reasonable, both for breakfast and in the evening. It is worth noting that the restaurant is closed on a weekend, and the options in the immediate vicinity for eating are quite limited. The area is quiet during the weekend, as it appears to be mainly business and offices in the adjacent buildings. The area is also pretty quiet during the week, which is good for sleeping. It is about 10 minutes walk to the nearest Metro station (Ciudad Lineal), and about 15 minutes taxi to or from the airport. If you need to stay in this area of Madrid, e.g. for business, I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

From here to Eternity
The only gripe I had was check-in that seemed to take forever at least 20 minutes. On the back of an early morning flight, without water, or any feeling the process would be over soon made first impressions negative.I felt that the Man on reception did not try to explain or get assistance so that the process could be done quicker. Apart from that the room was clean, spacious, modern everything you would expect from a modern hotel.

Away trip to Atletico Madrid!
Pleasant and helpful reception team. Spacious rooms and bathroom, blackout curtains for a good night's sleep! Good location for the Atletico Madrid Wanda Stadium - about a 30 min work. Close to a number of different metro lines which make getting into the city very easy. Well located for Madrid Barajas airport, but the public transport links to this are less straight-foward.

I would stay here again
For the price, Hotel Julia is perfect. The room had basic amenities, but it was clean and comfortable. Everyone who worked at reception was very nice and friendly, and they were extremely accommodating when I needed to ask a question or make a change on my reservation. The location is a bit far from the city center, and it is a long walk to the metro station. However, there are some nice gems in the neighborhood, including Mad Brewing just around the corner which I highly recommend. I did not feel unsafe walking back from the metro station at 2 am.

Lovely hotel
It was a lovely hotel. Nice clean room and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I was disappointed that the restaurant was not available when I arrived but I did arrive after 7pm and although I was able to order from the bar, the food was not great. I would have liked to try the restaurant since the advertisement showed a lovely dining experience. Overall, it was a nice hotel and I would recommend it.

The hotel is close to shopping and the subway
Parking is free outside, but hard to get a slot, as the area is a gathering place for taxi drivers. For 10 euros, you can get a gated parking spot within hotel. The room is very nice, with a beautiful bathroom set up. Only downside is that you have to close door to get at toilet. No big deal. The only negative is that the bed is hard as a piece of plywood, and pillows very flat. I used an extra blanket to fashion a larger pillow. 7 km to airport, so it was convenient as a last hotel to the airport. Insure that you know which terminal you are going to, as it is easy to mix them up! Hotel has shuttle to airport for 12 euros. Nice restaurant in hotel. Had pork medallions and veal steak for 30 euros. Tasty!

Muy bueno.
El Hotel está muy bueno para llegar a dormir, está comodo, con una estación de Metro a 10 minutos, supermercados cerca y zona segura.
