Loved the facilities and room :) we had a great 3 day stay. Only thing we didn't like is the TV not registering hdmi so we couldn't watch any movies during our down time after hikes and swimming, and the live TV didn't work often. Other than that we were mostly outdoors and exploring Peak District but coming back to a clean room and relaxing in the hot tub and pool was great.

We arrived on Friday for my fellas birthday but arrived later as stuck in traffic. We were greeted by a lovely lady in reception (Chelsea I think). She checked us in and we had a room upgrade. We chatted with her and she wrote down a list of local restaurants and a taxi card. This was lovely as she was busy but still took the time out to help us. We stayed in a superior room which was spacious and modern. We used the pool, jacuzzi and sauna and really enjoyed the health suite, again, everything was clean and modern. We took Chelsea’s recommendations of local restaurants and found a beautiful little Italian restaurant, basilico (it cost about £6 in a taxi from the hotel). We then went for cocktails to a nearby bar and got a taxi back to the hotel. For breakfast we missed the hotel breakfast so had a breakfast roll in the pulse bar, it was lovely and we sat in the conservatory, overlooking the golf course All in all a very lovely night away and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning.

Enjoyed the stay, facilities were good, I liked the early gym times and the facilities were really good. Area is also nice, no issues at all. Food was also nice but didn’t try breakfast.

It was very comfortable and lovely furnishings. We had a lower level floor room and the outdoor area was lovely. Only criticism is would have been great to have a mini fridge in the room. The facilities were great, thoroughly enjoyed the pool area.

Great hotel for business traveller
A nice hotel with the bonus of the spa facilities for a weary business traveller. I didn't eat here but my room was well equipped and comfortable. Good coffee and tea slection and nice toiletries. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. I will definitely return.

We booked this hotel previously, but had to cancel, re-booked the visit for last night. Hotel looks nice, with good leisure facilities, but to say there is 2 restaurants & bar area is taking it to extreme. How you can class a restaurant, that at best is a glorified cafe, with bench seating. We were hoping to go for an afternoon using the leisure facilities, then a shower, dress up and enjoy a nice meal in the restaurant & bar. Anyone doing that would look very out of place. It was more geared to golfers coming if the course to enjoy a bacon sandwich & pint

We had a lovely stay, we spoke with staff members, David and Clair. They were lovely and gave us some local knowledge. Facilities were good, it was a shame the hydra pool wasn’t working. But overall, we would recommend staying at the hotel, the atmosphere was great, good clean place. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas.

Nice room - Average Breakfast
Good size room with comfy bed and chairs, great shower and the usual basic biscuits tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was average and lacking real variety. Also breakfast room was like a conference hall and it felt very corporate rather than a ‘club’. Overall very disappointing.

Spent two nights here between Xmas and New Year. The hotel looks very impressive, the golf course looked well looked after and our room was very comfortable. We chose not to have dinner on either night, mainly because the menu looked really poor - luckily, there are some good restaurants in nearby Prestbury,, Macclesfield and the surrounding area (although book ahead). Breakfast was ok. Its hosted in a conference room and so lacks atmosphere, but the food was good enough. I didn't use the pool, gym or spa, but my wife did and said they were fine.

Good choice of facilities golf,gym, pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, tennis courts and crèche. Room looked nice and clean. Shower temperature changed a lot, heated towel rail did not work which we reported twice so we could not dry swimwear. Air con/heating made loud random clanking again reported twice, which were were later told is the same in everyroom. No action was taken so 1st nights sleep was disturbed, 2nd night we had to leave it off. Sauna/steam room were really busy in the evening and hot tub water was always tepid. Has a massage which i had to stop part way through as the room, oils and spa staff member was cold. My feet went blue. I was really looking forward to this stay and on initial impressions it was great however the lack of action and recation by staff regarding the above means I will not be staying again.

Pre-arrival email stated pre-booked breakfast £13 available on Bank Holidays to 10am. Rang to book only to find Boxing Day breakfast would finish at 9.30! Still booked breakfast and on arrival, on Christmas Day, there was no record of our booking and they wanted £15! Never mind it's Christmas so we'll have a drink in the bar...no you won't the bar is closed! Why was this not in the pre-arrival email???? Total collapse of management communicating with customers.

Francesca the receptionist was amazing throughout my stay, incredibly professional. She’s a real asset to your business. You should invest in her more. Room was spot on, spa, pool, gym was all outstanding. The only let down was the breakfast, it was cooked well, no real problems, just seems to be trying to fit in with the way other hotels do things. Write your own menu, let the chef be creative. I’d get behind that more, don’t be afraid to set the tone of what people should be doing, instead of following them. Also that room sucks, do it in the pulse room, more light, brighter tables and decor. Really enjoyed my stay over all, one of the best places I’ve stayed all year. Keep up the good work.
