"Fantastic place to stay, unwind and be at one with nature! Not quite in the middle of nowhere but close enough. There are shops locally but we took what we needed for our stay so we could get away from everything. We ditched the car and walked everywhere. The forest is on your doorstep and a nature reserve just over the road.. Ideal place if you have dogs, enjoy walking and want to get away from daily life, just be aware of the hills. We stay all over UK in these type of properties and this one is far superior, in our opinion, than many others we have stayed. There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. As with anywhere in this area to get the most you have to prepared to be a bit active and there are a few steps required to get down to the cottage but definitely worthwhile. "Our second stay here and excellent once again especially as the owners kindly accepted a change of plans due to one of our dogs requiring medical care. The house is clean, warm, tidy and well thought out. Parking is plentiful and easy. Access to the forest is literally across the road directly onto a path that has not changed in the 50 years I’ve been walking it. "I've tried to speak with the owner before posting this but have had no reply. Beautiful location completely spoilt by the classic/abandoned cars in the front garden making it unsafe for children and dogs. Field next door is similarly blighted. This spot is a blot on the otherwise beautiful scenery. 2 cookers both in need of deep and thorough clean. 1 grill and 1 oven not working. Fridges and surfaces clean. "Lovely stay at the bungalow. Three friends on a singing weekend nearby. It was very well equipped, clean and peaceful. A drainer rack for the sink would be useful and the mattresses were a little ‘tired’. Nevertheless it was great for us and we would stay there again."

"The property was tired & grubby & not beautiful as described. There were 2 very full large builders skips right in front of the property making sitting out in the tiny courtyard quite an unpleasant experience. In the morning there was no hot water to the property. No tea towels for drying crockery."

Kitchen was very well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. £250 damage deposit seemed quite excessive.
