"Review for The Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa – Saturday 6th May 2026 We had a wonderful stay at the Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa on Saturday 6th May and I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the standard of cleanliness really stood out. Our room was spotless, and the same high standard continued throughout the entire hotel – everything felt fresh, well-maintained, and beautifully presented. The breakfast was absolutely AMAZING! The selection was excellent, everything was cooked to perfection, and the quality of the ingredients really shone through. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had in a long time. However, what really made our stay special was Mel on reception. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. Mel is the friendliest, most helpful person you could hope to meet – she was genuinely lovely to chat with and gave us brilliant recommendations of places to visit in the area. Her warmth and professionalism made a big difference to our experience. She is a real credit to the hotel and the whole team. We left feeling relaxed, well-rested, and very well looked after. Thank you Wild Pheasant – we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Disappointed that I was not notified that they had a wedding at the hotel as this affect my stay, no food being served at night and the poor staff was extremely busy, I had to go somewhere else to get a drink. "

"Nice hotel rooms were clean and tidy, good shower. Staff we found one member of staff quite rude to my wife when we arrived so wasn’t a good start. The bar staff on the Saturday evening were excellent 2 lads and a girl behind the bar really did shine, and won us back. Breakfast was poor on the Sunday morning. We didn’t really know how breakfast and would stop to help. No side plates no glasses for your orange juice , the bread box was empty for too long. The breakfast was warm and that’s about it. Nice hotel few faults, we won’t go back."

"Staff and the quality of the food were the only positives. General maintenance and cleanliness were extremely low with our room having a broken window hinge, the bin lid broken off, spit covering the bedroom mirror, the bath taps being brown around the outside, the toilet seat being the incorrect size for the toilet and the bath clearly had had a water leak that had damaged the side and not been replaced/covered. The spa was equally as bad with scum marks around the hot tubs and general lack of repair and maintenance in all areas... A toilet door lock came completely off in my hand!"

"The room appeared quite freshly refurbished. The bathroom had quite a lot of mould in and around shower. It needed a good scrub and it would have been fine. Staff were friendly and courteous. Bar staff worked hard at a very busy party."

"What an absolutely wonderful find. We usually travel Glasgow to Pembrokeshire in a oner, 8.5+ hrs but getting too old now so the lions quay was a fantastic find. Lovely, tranquil canal walks, fab spa facilities and a comfortable pub and restaurant with exceptionally patient and polite staff. Certainly stay again."
