I liked everything about the hotel and thought it was the best hotel I have ever stayed in, but when I first used the bathroom I realised that the toilet hadn’t been cleaned from the person before me and there was stains all inside the toilet.
A nice place to stay with a family and very close to the lime st station
Beautiful hotel and rooms. Great location to all pubs, restaurants and shopping centre. Friendly staff ever willing to assist. Definitely coming back next time!
Lovely restaurant and bar. Very friendly. Room very clean but a blind missing from window so not private and only 1 coat hanger for 3 people. In a perfect central position
Everything was great but the mattress on the bed was rather old and one can feel the springs poking onto your back when you sleep...
Perfect location very clean but staff very unfriendly
Decent hostel; fairly clean rooms; facilities well kept; I didn't make use of the kitchen area, but seems convenient to have one. Will stay again.
The rooms were great.. clean, spacious and comfortable. To have breakfast was fairly expensive in relation to other hotels I’ve stayed in. Parking was also expensive. £15 to park your car at THEIR car park. Lots of other hotels offer discounted parking if you are a guest. Other facilities such as ...
Very clean & a nice bar No cooked breakfast only @ weekends. In the adjacent rooms other guests were noisy due to the wall soundproofing
The city of Liverpool has always been a unique and enchanting place. Starting life as a port city, Liverpool's soon become one of the United Kingdom's most diverse cities. This diversity has led to the development of a special identity, ultimately resulting in one of the world's most culturally rich cities. In a city of such character, it's important to pick a hotel that offers something special. Fortunately, there are plenty of independent hotels in Liverpool.
One of the real charms of independent hotels in Liverpool is that the owners and staff members are typically very involved with the business. Guests can expect higher levels of service, and can often develop friendships with the people in charge of their accommodation. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the city's smaller guesthouses.
Aachen is a three-star guesthouse in the heart of the trendy Ropewalks district. With just 15 rooms, the guests can easily get to know staff members during their stay. This is a great way to get some valuable local knowledge on the best things to see and do in the area.
Often, holidaymakers who check into independent hotels are looking for something extra special. Sometimes, this is a little touch of exclusivity - something the Posh Pads at the Casartelli have in abundance.
The five-star accommodation is thoroughly luxurious, featuring a handful of penthouses with spectacular views of the city. The roof terrace is something special and guests can even take advantage of the hotel's limousine service, for getting around town in style.
Owners of independent hotels typically put a great deal of thought into the facilities on offer. Those who travel a short way to the north of Liverpool to the resort of Formby will find a fine example of this at the Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa.
As the hotel's name suggests, Formby Hall is blessed with its very own 18-hole golf course, which is supplemented by a smaller 9-hole course for variety. There's also a state of the art spa, promising total relaxation throughout the duration of your break.
