We stayed here to celebrate my husbands special birthday. From the moment we drove up and saw the impressive ship we knew we were in for a special treat. Everything about this place is incredible. The staff were so helpful and very welcoming.
You helped make my husbands birthday treat a very special memory.

Even before arrival Hilary couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. We were able to check in a little early without any difficulties. The building was beautiful and the lovely open fire with complementary wine in the lounge was so relaxing. We stayed in the regent room which was really cosy with a huge comfortable bed. Breakfast was really nice too. A little walk from the station and princess street. It was definitely worthy of all the other fantastic reviews. We will definitely be...

Amazing host, fantastic breakfast, brilliant old leather chair in room 1. Gareth, the owner couldn't do enough for us. He even gave us a bottle of prosecco for our wedding anniversary (see photo). Highly recommended

An excellent hotel with character, class, and great service. I can understand why The Balmoral Hotel is such a famous place to stay when visiting Edinburgh.

Great stay. We arrived a bit early and the room was ready. Close to a tram stop or about a 30 min walk to princes street. Plenty of shops, cafes and bars nearby.

I wasn't sure what to expect but this Holiday Inn is one of the best run hotels i have stayed in. I mean everything just gels here. The staff are quite honestly astoundingly good. From walking in the door they were warm and friendly and just so welcoming. The room was spotless, including tea/coffee making things. And the breakfast is wonderful. 10/10 to all of you we will be back for sure.

A wonderful stay, the staff are really friendly and most helpful with directions. The city centre was only a few minutes walk and there is on street parking. The room was very warm and comfortable, lovely place, will recommend.

Host very kind and helpful, enjoyed the stay. Bed in one of the rooms not very luckily displaced (under a hatched ceiling) but still comfortable. Bathroom squeezed in the room, a bit difficult access to facilities. Room and house absolutely clean, area with free parking on street(if found a space), 10-15min walk from city centre, couple of buses operating on the nearby street make it easier to get to a destination. Overall satisfied and willing to come back next time. Great price2quality ratio.
