Basic, but clean, comfortable and recently redone rooms, No lift, so be prepared to climb some stairs and carry your bag to the summit. (This is true of all the hotels in the area that were built back in the day.)
The staff is friendly, helpful and gave us great restaurant recommendations nearby.
The price is reasonable and the location is *fantastic*! You are steps from Paddington, there are plenty of decent restaurants and pubs nearby and you are only a short walk from Kennsington Gardens and Hyde Park. Other touristy attractions like the British Museum, Big Ben, War Rooms, etc are close enough to walk to.

The hotel's breakfast is unbelievable. It is worth it to stay at this hotel for the breakfast alone. They are exceptionally good at cleaning the room. The staff is most helpful and they have plenty of staff available. I liked the hotel's location, just a couple of blocks from Victoria Station. Also, several good theaters very close.
