"Great hotel in wonderful role place"
This was our first time in Bath and it's a wonderful place. Gainsborough is great hotel in the middle of it all. Relatively new and everything is in good order with high end fit and finish. Loved nespresso in the room. And having its own access to thermo spring baths is really nice.

"Lovely spa hotel "
Lovely old manor house converted to a hotel by the owners of Mulberry. Now owned by Bannatyne. Staff are lovely, spa great. However we had a standard double which was outside of the main building and it was a bit tired. It rained constantly and there was no doormat into the room so carpets suffered. Umbrella stand but no umbrellas! Restaurant and drink prices high so we ate most evenings at the Thatch Cottage 5 minutes walk away, great food. All in all, a lovely hotel but could do with updating some of the rooms

"We stayed for one night"
We stayed for one night and used the spa facilities and ate breakfast here. The staff - every single member - couldn't have been more helpful or genuinely nice to us. The garden was a pleasure to walk around. The spa so relaxing. Breakfast was very nice. The hotel itself was really easy to find. I felt really looked after.

"Great location, perfect for shopping and going out"
The hotel itself from the outside is pretty unattractive but inside was quite nice. Location wise is great and it was very quiet despite being in the middle of Bristol centre. Staff were friendly and helpful at all points. A lovely touch was that when we went back to our room after our meal out, the member of staff on the desk had arranged for a bottle of wine, box of chocolates and a card to be in our room. Only minor complaint was that the bed sheets on one of the beds were stained. Breakfast was good, with a fair amount of choice. Overall a good place to go for a girly catch up.

"Nice Quiet Stay Just Outside Bath"
Combe Grove is a lovely secluded manor hotel a short drive from Bath city centre. During our visit we had a garden view room which was lovely and spacious with modern décor. The manor itself is typically what you would expect of a building of this type. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the restaurant. The hotel does have an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Unfortunately, the indoor pool was closed on the first night of our stay and on the second night we had it to ourselves for a while near to closing time. Overall, a very pleasant stay helped by some marvellous weather and would recommend.
