"Great stay in converted cottage in the courtyard. Great location, very friendly staff. Walked to Lansdown Park and ride only 10 min for evening in Bath, so convenient."
"It was such a treat to stay here. The staff were delightful. It was wonderful to learn that Bluestocking Elizabeth Montagu used to live at No 16. What an impressive history the house has."
"It was a beautiful renovated building; our rooms (family) were lovely, spacious and well-equipped, and the bathroom was excellent! Overall, the town of Bath was wonderful, full of history and beauty. We did tons of shopping and a walking tour (highly recommended), and the restaurant across the way (Crystal Palace) was most excellent!"
"Great place to stay; in a beautiful area, parking close by, very friendly people running the guesthouse, easy to check in and out and a very comfortable room to stay in."
"The boathouse was absolutely fantastic. The property is right by the river so it's just the perfect place for great rest, a cold drink in the terrace, and nice meals. We had a room with a balcony, and the bed was fantastic, the bathroom nice and spacious and the it was so well appointed and decorated. It was a pleasure to spend time in the room. "
"This was a fun property to stay at with a great pub attached and a lovely cafe/breakfast area for guests with delicious breakfast choices. The location was super handy for walking to all the Bath attractions. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was that our room faced the street and it was very noisy with passing trucks."

Apex City of Bath Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Great stay, our 2nd time visiting. Hotel is in a great area and the pool is really nice. Breakfast great too, although it can take a while to come out! Love Apex hotels "
"Very dog friendly hotel. Nice interior, think they renovated recently. Comfortable bed, it's clean. Staff very friendly. Welcome cookies taste very good. Very good air conditioning. "
"Beautiful hotel in a superb location. Room was a good size with fantastic view across the park at the front of the hotel. We had requested a walk in shower due to accessibility issues which was provided, however the bathroom was extremely small which wasn’t ideal for someone with disability issues for ease of moving around. The hotel room and communal areas were spotlessly clean. Food was excellent in the restaurant. There is the option for two tasting menus but the remainder of the menu is limited. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and accessible. "
"The hotel is perfectly located for both the Theatre Royal and Ustinov Theatre as you can walk to either in about thirty seconds! There are also numerous bars, coffee shops and restaurants in the immediate area.
Despite being centrally located, I didn't hear any noise from outside at all.
My room was quite compact but very comfortable, the shower was great as was the bed.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
The nearest car park is an eleven minute walk away, which of course the hotel can't do anything about.
I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel."
"Loved our stay here. It’s a hotel with a bit of character and personality which is a nice change from some of the bland chain hotels. V comfortable and quiet rooms, friendly staff and a really delicious and well priced breakfast. "
