Located facing Venice and we thought this may be a problem on arrival, but efficient shuttle at only 3.5 euros per adult per stay and kids free was a much cheaper option than expensive public transport or taxis. Less than 5 mins from facing station and around 10 from St Marks Square, only piece of advice is to arrive 15-20mins before boat departs to guarantee a space. Stayed in a spacious family King suite which was very clean and room was ready when we arrived before check in time. We needed a duvet fro the kids bed (September) and housekeeping arrived within 10 minutes of our request. Nothing was too much trouble for the very polite and efficient staff including getting kids fresh waffles and pancakes as they hadn't noticed them on the buffet. Only ate breakfast so cannot comment on the other food on offer. Roof top pool WA smaller than expected, but as kids had it to themselves that was not an issue. All public areas were very clean. Would definitely use again.
The hotel is on an island close to the main island where St. Mark Cathedral is. If you arrived by cruise ship, you will have to take the Alilaguna to the stop where Hilton Hotel is and dragged your luggage to cross 3 bridges before reaching to the alley entrance of the hotel. The name of the alley is not posted and there is no sign. You have to ask a shop owner or locals along the street. But once you have arrived, you will know that it is close to the Vapnetto (water bus)stop of Palanca and is convenient to get anywhere. Rooms are small but service is good. Wi-fi can only be used in the hotel lobby and is very slow.

Nice apartment in a very convenient location. Good info on checking in, entry codes, vaporetto stops, directions. Quiet and peaceful, yet right across from the action of San Marco Square; only a short vaporetto ride away.
Beds were comfortable enough; could use more head pillows as we use them for back and knee support also. Two nice bathrooms, dining area (very tight though), nicely equipped kitchen.
Second "bedroom" was poor; right outside master bedroom, with no walls, no window, just a closet and a pullout sofa which was uncomfortable for sleeping. Column in middle walkway made for tight passing.
No window screens, fans, or air conditioning; unfortunately typical in Mediterranean lodging; but only way to cool off at night was to open window. This let in many mosquitoes and all three of us ended up with many, many itchy bites.
Staff entered room to replenish coffee and opened our bedroom window wide when we had specifically closed it, so we came home in evening to another mosquito-filled room. (And as room opens to a garden on ground floor, this was not a safe practice. Thankfully nothing missing. We complained, but no response; can't tell if receptionist understood us.)
Staying on a yacht was cool but the facilities were not what I was expecting. Staff were often not available, sometimes they just left with no one working at all making it impossible to ask for anything. The wifi was often turned off and not usable, especially when staff were not on board to enable it.

When you stay at a B&B, you are staying in someone's home, and you can never forget that. They always have more restrictive atmospheres than hotels. That said, the longer I stayed at Ca' Isabella, the more I liked it. It has the kind of plumbing that is unique to Venice, and it takes some getting used to, but it makes up for that by having an excellent location. It is not located on the main islands, it is on the island of Guidecca, just south of Venice proper. Because of that, it does not have the hoards of tourists roaming the sidewalks and alleys. Guidecca is more relaxed and comfortable. Hotel doesn't have a lift (elevator), and the rooms are not on the lower floors. They served a full breakfast every day, including meat. The people are pleasant, especially the older woman. The beds were comfortable. There is a public laundromat two bridges away, beyond the Palanca waterbus landing. Look for a "T" sign over a shop. That is a tobaccoist (cigarettes), and they sell waterbus tickets, each good for a set amount of time. We bought one-way tickets to get to the hotel 7.5euros each, two-day tickets for 30euros each, and one-way tickets to return to the train station.
From Palanca pier, take waterbus 2 to get across the lagoon quickly, or waterbus 4.1 to take a slower route to one of the San Marco piers. Make sure waterbus 2 is going in the direction you want. The list of stops and the direction is posted in every pier, but some piers have separate waiting covers.

We had a private triple room. Walking distance to water taxis, grocery stores, easy access to all parts of Venice. The room was clean, sunny, and way more modern than I expected. Check in was hassle free, staff was friendly.
Ten minutes by waterbus from Piazza San Marco, the quiet residential island of Giudecca, is the place to escape the crowds. The only monument of note is Palladio’s church Il Redentore, focus of a major festival in late July. The atmosphere is typically Venetian and there are a handful of restaurants.
