Search Ryokan in Kanto Region

A hotel with breathtaking views and food. Staff are fantastic, hospitable and accommodating. We pre-arranged shuttle collection and food requirements in English and everything went seamlessly. Thank-you Gora Hanaougi

Hotel Suisen was the first ryokan I have stayed in and far exceeded my expectations. The hotel is small and very peaceful, set back from the winding road and just a few minutes walk downhill from the mountain railway station Ohiradai. It is very easily accessible from Tokyo and a Hakone Free Pass covers transport costs as well as the cable car. The staff were very friendly and courteous and provided a comprehensive introduction to the facilities, including the indoor and outdoor thermal baths....

Staff are always extremely helpful

Room was clean, only had one bug come into the room and was easy enough to put outside. Staff were friendly, I forget there names but the people who waited on me and at reception were friendly, polite and helpful. Nice and peaceful and onsen was great. Loved the food here, it was the best food I ate in my month long trip to Japan and would 100% come back here

Amazing food, staff, and experience!

No other word than “ Excellent “

A beautiful hotel. We had a large and well appointed bedroom on 6th floor with a balcony overlooking the stunning green landscape with a spring water bath and swing chair. Staff can’t do enough and you feel very well looked after. Nice touches such as free drinks and ice cream. Wonderful onsen and Japanese garden. Very extensive breakfast buffet. It’s a large hotel and was very noisy when we arrived but was quiet and peaceful after that and had a wonderful air of calmness. Get very clear and...

The stay at Yusakaso left nothing to be desired. The staff and meals were excellent. The room was large and quiet. The public baths were nice and clean. The outdoor mixed gender as well as the time in the private bath are perfect to share a bath with a partner.

We had a fantastic stay here! The staff were friendly and attentive (and didn’t mind my poor attempts at Japanese!), the facilities including the Onsen were fantastic. Free drinks on the third floor was a nice surprise, and the dinner was spectacular. Breakfast is traditional Japanese so don’t expect eggs and bacon (think fish and rice), but also super! Room was comfy and clean, the outside bath was brilliant too! Highly recommended!!

After being in Japan for 10days and staying in relatively modern hotels with small rooms, it was delightfully refreshing to be staying in a hotel where room space was more than adequate. Yes, the decor is old fashioned and may appear tired however the surroundings, the staff and the excellent service more than compensate. All staff spoke excellent English and could not do enough to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The "silver" service at breakfast is far above anything I have experienced before...

What an amazing place this is. As soon as you check in you're given a welcome matcha tea and sweet treats. The dining area has free flavoured water and hot drinks 247 and the breakfast was so tasty. They even catered for vegetarians. The room was gorgeous. Tatami mats covered the floor with a beautiful seating area with tea and a kettle for you to use in the room. The beds were extremely comfy and the only negative I have about this place is that the duvets were so thick and fluffy. I'm just...

Wonderful stay for our family. The Ryokan is very traditional and doesn't have lots of modern amenities, but we wanted a more traditional experience. The staff are so accommodating and went out of their way to assist. The dinner and breakfast was wonderful, and all dietary requirements were no problem at all.

Amazing experience- the room was great, the staff was incredibly attentive and kind. The food was beyond delicious, wish I stayed more!! Arigato gonzaimasu
