Find hotels in Juan Asencio from £79

The best time to go to Juan Asencio is during the dry season, which typically runs from mid-December to May.

During these months, you'll experience pleasant temperatures, generally ranging from 24°C to 29°C, with lower humidity and less rainfall. This makes it ideal for enjoying the island's outdoor activities, such as exploring the beaches, hiking in the El Yunque National Forest, or simply strolling through the colourful streets of Old San Juan. The drier weather ensures your plans are less likely to be interrupted by sudden downpours.

For those looking to avoid the peak crowds and potentially find better value on flights and accommodation, late April and May can be a particularly good time. The weather remains excellent, but the busiest tourist season has started to wind down, offering a more relaxed experience before the start of the wetter hurricane season.

Conversely, the hurricane season officially runs from June to November. While you can still have lovely weather during this period, there's a higher chance of tropical storms and hurricanes, which could disrupt travel plans.
