"I had booked this hotel thinking it was standard, but it was Japanese style: tatami floor, floor mattress, and no private bathroom (shower). The room did have a toilet, sink, closets, tv, electrical kettle, etc… yet despite not having my own shower was not a big deal. "It was an incredible experience. Traditional Japanese room, very clean with a view to the mountains. The staff were extremely kind and polite and the buffet food was great. "The rooms are absolutely amazing and unbelievably beautiful. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The breakfast was very nice and traditional. "I had booked this hotel thinking it was standard, but it was Japanese style: tatami floor, floor mattress, and no private bathroom (shower). The room did have a toilet, sink, closets, tv, electrical kettle, etc… yet despite not having my own shower was not a big deal. They offer bathhouse: very clean, spacious, with multiple pools (hot water) cold tub, sauna and even an outdoors onsen! Overlooking the river! Fall asleep sleep to a running river, and waking up to it was so soothing. The staff was friendly and helpful, overall i had a fantastic stay and would book again. "

"This time, our family of four (a couple with two young children) stayed on a room-only plan (no breakfast or dinner). Our room had an open-air hot-spring bath with free-flowing water straight from the source, so we could relax and enjoy a soak without leaving the room. In addition to the private open-air bath, the hotel also has a large communal bath, which we enjoyed as well. For dinner and breakfast, we indulged in seafood at local restaurants. The sunset was beautiful, too."
