A person should know that the rooms are about 10’x10’ in the main area. The bed was comfortable. The bathrooms are about 3’x4’. The one piece fibreglass kind you would expect in an RV. The onsen or hot spring is enclosed, its about 7’x10’ and about 2’ deep at the deepest. I thought when it said natural hot spring that it would be in a natural setting. Shows you what I know. I requested a room on a higher floor and we got a room on 7/F. We were very happy. Once I got into the room, my first thought was "This is so luxurious!" It is indeed a luxury hotel. And there were two chairs in front of the ceiling-to-floor glass panel for us to enjoy the Fujisan view. It was amazing. We could see Fujisan at different times of the day under all different weather conditions!! Not to mention the fact that we saw the rare "ring clouds" in the last afternoon we were there! The room was even better than how it looked in the photos. Breakfast at Robata Grill L'EAU has all the usual items plus French toasts, the famous Mishima Croquettes, grilled salmon steaks, mackerel pieces and even whole horse mackerels! The view on 13/F was just as amazing! The hotel uses the Fujisan motif everywhere, from the room key card sleeve, the Do not disturb and Please make up room signs to the crockery in the rooms. And I think the quilt covers feature patterns of Mishima symbols. I saw them on the glass panels at the Mishima Tourist Information Centre and asked what they were. I thought that was a nice touch. Lastly, the hotel lobby has a miniature model of the hotel with the various trains tracks and trains including Doctor Yellow (retired 29/1/25). Just lovely! And hotel merchandise for sale.
