"Modern rooms and amenities that look like they were remodeled within the last year or two.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Excellent restaurant with interesting items on the menu and a pleasant bar with about 15 items on tap.
Good value stay."

We have just spent an amazing 3 nights at the Mill at Glynhir. Helen & Matt were fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome. The room was a good size with a very large king-sized bed and a wardrobe containing a very handy fridge which held plenty of complimentary water and fresh milkj for the tea and coffee (top-ups were provided as required). Everything in the room was spotlessly clean and it was well equipped. The bathroom looks brand new and has an excellent double shower. The view from...

there were 4 of us in the party that stayed at the hotel; my wife and I and our son and daughter, all were very impressed by the cleanliness and comfort that the rooms offered. The rooms were adjoining with a connecting door, which made it easy for us to spend more of the time together. Beds were very comfortable. Another good feature of the hotel, was the close proximity of a very good restaurant All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay there again.

Lovely room with an amazing view. Facilities were great, and there were lots of lovely little touches, such as the dressing gowns. Also I had asked if there would be any oat/soya milk available as I have an intolerance, when we arrived there was not only oat milk but gluten and dairy free cereals, biscuits and yoghurt. Very appreciated
Only drawback was the lack of parking, it's a shame that something can't be worked out with the council to get a reduced rate. Would recommend this place, and we...

The entire apartment was clean. Check in was very straight forward and well explained. Key collection from resturant near the apartment but we never ate there as there was plenty of shops nearby. Apartment pretty much has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Air conditioning available.

We couldn't fault this - from the welcome, through a comfortable sleep to a friendly great breakfast. Lovely place, well-run, perfectly clean, and very friendly. The views from the rooms are extensive, yet it's a short walk to a very acceptable pub with good beer and meals. Definitely one to go back to.

We were upgraded on arrival which was a lovely surprise. Staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough. Great pool and all the facilities. Also it’s peaceful rather than being right in the city centre. We loved it xx

The best area to stay in Hendy is typically around the main village centre, particularly near the A4138.
This area offers the most convenience for visitors. Hotels and guesthouses here are often within walking distance of local amenities such as the village shop, the local pub, and the community hall. The A4138 provides direct access to the M4 motorway, making it very straightforward to explore the wider region.
For couples looking for a relaxed base with easy access to surrounding attractions, staying in the village centre is ideal. You'll find a few local eateries and a pub within easy reach, and it serves as an excellent starting point for day trips to the Gower Peninsula or the Brecon Beacons.
Travellers on business will also appreciate the convenience of the village centre.
When is the best time to go to Hendy?
The best time to go to Hendy is during the warmer months, specifically from late spring (May) to early autumn (September).
During this period, the weather in Hendy and the surrounding areas of Wales is generally milder and drier, making it ideal for outdoor activities and exploring the natural beauty of the region. You'll find longer daylight hours, which means more time to enjoy sightseeing and countryside walks.
For those who enjoy hiking and exploring the Welsh coast, July and August offer the warmest temperatures and the least chance of rain. This is superb for visiting nearby attractions like the Gower Peninsula's beaches or the Brecon Beacons National Park. Families will particularly appreciate this time, as the pleasant weather allows for full days out at the beach or exploring local castles without the worry of cold or wet conditions.
If you prefer to avoid the busiest tourist season but still want good weather, May, June, and September are excellent choices. The landscape is often lush and green, and you'll find a more relaxed pace.
