Llanelli’s closest major airport is Cardiff Airport, some 40 miles to the south in Rhoose. Regular train services run between the airport and Llanelli, and regular buses run via the nearby city of Cardiff.

To get from the airport to Llanelli by bus or coach, you are best advised to take the hourly bus from the airport to Cardiff Central bus station. From there you can take a coach to Swansea, the journey taking about an hour. From Swansea you can catch a local bus or coach to Llanelli, which takes about 30 minutes.
It takes a little over an hour to drive from Cardiff Airport to Llanelli. The M4 motorway is only about 10 miles from the airport, and can be reached by travelling along the A4226 and A48. Leave the motorway at junction 48 and take the A4138 to Llanelli.
