"We enjoyed the castle experience, but our room was by the front desk/lobby and we heard everything that was going on there until late and early in the morning. I paid additional for an extra bed which came as a cot, small, thin mattress, uncomfortable! The food however was the highlight of our stay, do stay for tea time and dinner it’s well worth it! "

"Great location for the train station. Cheap as chips room but needs a deep clean. Shower and all grout in bathroom has mildew, I didnt use the shower because of it. Nice touch with a few bottles of water and some tea/coffee making facilities as well as an information foldr of local area and eateries. The room smelled of marajuana all night. Not sure if the room below was smoking or if it was coming from outside. The bed really needs a new mattress, very cheap and spongy and the pillows are...

"Pros - great location, near pub and nice coffee shop. Short walk to beach. Cons - not very clean on arrival, mould problem in bathroom, strong damp smell throughout property. Had planned to cook but found mould growing on wooden spoons and cobwebs on the pans - so ate out instead! Having read through the comments in the visitor book we could see these issues had been raised several times, so it’s disappointing they haven’t been addressed. Would not stay again."
