Greta Hotel, staff and location. Pretty much everything you want from a Hotel. Location was perfect for us and the staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect.

Only issue was Room was very cold on arrival and blankets should be in rooms as overnight with the thin quilts in the bed we found to be cold during the night.

Francesca on reception excellent helping me with my 93 yr old Mum. Due to no lifts in operation. Letting me have a room on level 1. Getting the guys to help with bags to and from car to the room. Waiters at breakfast ie. Beth and others offering to help carry food for Mum from Buffet. This was all so supportive for me on my own. Exceeded all my expectations.

All staff were friendly and welcoming...our room was very comfortable and clean. Shower was excellent Food was of very high quality and lots of it Recommend the Steak & Ale pie with Garlic Mash & Fish n Chips The local ale was lovely...and local gins and isle of wight whisky went down well. All in all a 10/10 experience from start to finish

This is a lovely privately owned and managed hotel. All so very English. We had a great time and have recommended this hotel to several friends already.

Fantastic stay at this hotel. A real gem and the restaurant Jetty is superb. Staff very attentive, always available and courteous. I will be gladly come back.

Bit off the beaten track but well worth making the diversion for. Staff very hospitable. Room clean with welcoming chocolates and a decanter with a decent measure of whiskey. Bed comfortable and bathroom stocked with necessities. Food first class and a good selection of beers and ales. Ideal for business to unwind (good wifi all over). Good for romantic ramblers/cyclists.

A little gem, beautifully appointed throughout. Room 10 comes with a large pink bathroom which includes a bath the length of which I had not yet encountered, a toilet built like a tank (double hinged toilet seat and cover) and a mahusive walk-in shower large enough to fit big foot. This was our first stay at the hotel-although we had stayed at Pennyhill Park. Three adults and a small Maltese Terrier with adjoining rooms for a five night stay. We found the hotel to be absolutely brilliant. Customer service was first class and could not be faulted. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean-bathroom toiletries were replaced daily. We had a lovely stay at Bosun's Chair and would highly recommend it. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the local area and enjoy everything nearby. Very traditional inn experience! Beautiful town with everything within walking distance. Staff are warm, chatty and more than happy to fufill requests if able. Breakfast was served between 7:30 and 10 giving plenty of time to laze if needed. Breakfast is cooked to order not a buffet style. Overall a fantastic experiance.
