Lion Hotel and Studio Apartments
10/10 Excellent
"Good hotel with free parking and free Wifi. Our room was spacious and clean with a good shower. It is in an excellent location with a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 2/3 minute walk to the shops. Breakfast is a help yourself apart from the toast which is bought out to your table, a friend of ours said enjoy the vegan breakfast but the Hotel has changed hands since they had been and it was'nt available apart from a vegan sausage. Also not much on the evening menu for a vegan either. But it has'nt stopped us from re booking as we can eat elsewhere."

"The room was clean and staff all very pleasant. The breakfast selection was poor for fresh fruit and only had tinned pears available. The hot food to order was lukewarm which was a shame. The car park was very wet and puddly in heavy rain. It would be nice to supply an umbrella for walking from reception/dining room/bar if you are staying in one of the outside chalet rooms."

"We enjoyed our stay at this attractive historic hotel. Close to the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed and about 20 minutes from the zip wire attraction with lots of options for walkers and hikers. We thought it was a little overpriced; our room was fine though not very large and the view from the small window was of a wall. All meals are served in the pub and a range of pub type meals was available. The hot breakfasts were good but the continental options were limited. Lots of parking and plenty of covered tables outside for fine days."

"The staff are courteous and helpful, and the food is very good. This hotel is centrally located in Snowdonia within walking distance to a nice village and wonderful walks along a charming river. We have stayed here before and will stay here again."

"We had a lovely stay - staff really friendly and helpful and the whole place had a lovely buzzing atmosphere. Rooms very clean and modern, appreciated the floor fan too!"

"Ty Golchi was one of the nicest VRBO stats we have had. The communication was timely and responses were thorough. The inside of the cottage was so well appointed.So many little aspects that mean so much and were very appreciated.It was a long trip for us from Canada but I would definitely recommend to anyone going to North Wales"
