Parking is very limited and the room was a squeeze for 2, I would describe it as only just a double!

Guildford Stay

Posted 24-Aug-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: AIR-CON IN EVERY ROOM
Location: CITY CENTRE - EXCELLENT LOCATION
I had room 8, it was like an oven, avoid at all costs in summer, i was told the following morning only executive rooms have air-con. Also when i checked out i left i-phone charger plugged into the wall socket, i telephoned the same evening but was told it was not found ???

Was ok, room was not ideal.

The room felt like it was down in a basement, could hear everything and was absolutely tiny. For the price I payed I wouldn't rush back.

Great location to such a lovely town.

Posted 23-Aug-2017
Pros: The location and modern rooms.
Cons: Perhaps more staff, as they seemed a little stressed out. To advertise the parking better, that only frontal parking is free. This has upset a few.
Location: Fab location, Guildford is lovely, plenty of restaurants and bars to chooses from, nice selection of shops.
Lovely rooms, great location, bar staff friendly but not so on reception, one in tears and another stressed.

Nice friendly hotel.

Posted 22-Jul-2017
Pros: Mainly the location
Cons: Lifts would be an improvement
Location: Historic town centre and Godalming and Wey Navigations
Close to Guildford town centre, this hotel was ideal for exploring the town and walking the river banks.

Within walking distance of the city centre

Posted 03-Jul-2017
Pros: Welcoming and helpful receptionists. Nice position in the city, which is helpful, specially if you don't have a car.
Cons: Buffet breakfast could have fresh fruit and muesli (only rice crispies, very similar very sweet cornflake - type cereals) Make dining area nicer.
Location: Situated near the city centre, not far from cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops, etc. The castle and castle grounds well worth a visit - walking distance
Comfortable bed in a small single room. Lovely shower and well equipped bathroom. If you want breakfast you have to pay separately - £17.50 for cooked breakfast, and £11.00 for 'continental' buffet breakfast- which I think is a lot of money on top of the cost of a room. The buffet breakfast was disappointing and poor value for money. The main dining room is dark and in the booth where I sat the table was too high for the seating. Why can't they provide bed and breakfast? The TV reception was intermittent.

Really nice hotel and room for the money. Good sized room and really comfortable bed. Clean and modern inside. Good location for town and exploring the surrounding areas. Really friendly staff willing to help. Would recommend to others.
