Nice building and surroundings. However, the standard room is very small with no storage space. There is no armchair or even chair. There are two tiny night tables with no drawers or storage. The bathroom is extremely small with a tiny sink and no storage. Due to the lack of storage you have to put clothes on bed or floor :-( No water pressure in the shower. The standard room is at £97 per night and very overpriced in comparison of what you can get in hotel chains like Premier Inn. I raised the issue of the small size of the bedroom to the staff and they replied that it is an old hotel and it is what it is; poor handling of customer feedbacks. Avoid this hotel, you can get much better for the same price in any hotel chain. On the top on that the breakfast area is a real fridge with perhaps 10 air cons at full power.

A boutique hotel it is not!
Looks glorious from the outside! Stayed in the Old coach house for three nights, the hallways and stairs where not hoovered once, lots of debris. Room was pleasant, air condition is not worth a mention, pointless. Bathroom facitilies, well! The room was not wide, you knocked your elbow on each wall whilst using the lavatory. The shower, was no accetable, shower head leaked water from the casing, the screen has build up of limescale and mould. Not somewhere I will book again.

Honest review
The hotel was okay. I had requested the 3 course meal when I checked in online, but when I arrived I was told I could not have this due to there being no staff in the kitchen. No one told me this prior to my stay which was disappointing as I was looking forward to it. I think the drains must have been blocked because every time I got a shower the water would rise up and go down the drain really slow, so I had to get a quick shower before the water would overflow out of the shower base. The bed was comfy, but the floorboards were so loud that I didn’t get the best of sleep. You could hear every single footstep from people in other rooms or the corridors which woke me up several times during the night. The hotel overall was okay, but I don’t think it’s a 4* like it says.
