This was our second stay at the Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere having previously stayed in February. The hotel is very clean and tidy with a very friendly and helpful reception staff. The onsite parking is great. Our room was a decent size and was very clean with good standard facilities (TV, air-conditioning, complimentary water, hairdryer etc) The spa facilities are acceptable and the only downside to the hotel is it's lack of swimming pool. The breakfast is of a very high standard. We...

The suite was great. Two decent sized rooms. Very friendly and helpful people

Beautiful location, good service, good breakfast, comfortable, spacious bedroom, good value for money

Great stay, hotel is immaculate and staff are very friendly. We were offered vouchers to redeem at the bar for drinks instead of maid service which we took. Maid still came in one day which was nice. We arrived on a Saturday and it was very busy. There was a wedding on so lots of kids running around. If you’re looking for a quiet trip book another day and avoid the weekends if you can. Wasn’t too bad and we didn’t mind. Spa is fantastic and we enjoyed a spa day with 2 course lunch. Loved it! I...

Very helpfull and friendly staff especially Morgan and Megan. Room clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. Excellent views of Lake Windermere. Food was delicious with superb gluten free options

Really great family run place. Room was excellent, breakfast fantastic and can't thank the owner enough for local knowledge and tips for walking and food. Good value considering time of year and location. Look forward to visiting again

Stopped in cottages for two nights very clean no problems ideal for walking into Bowness.

We had the most enjoyable 5 days at the hotel, the staff were very accommodating, the breakfast was wonderful as was the evening meal my only preference would be an-alternative evening menu occasionally

Great Location - amazing food and service..

Hotel was quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly, Only gripe and I suspect this is what it limits it to 4* is a swimming pool and exercise facilities. Breakfasts were excellent, This was off season and hotel was quiet. Views from room of lake were spectacular. Hotel was very dog friendly to the extent of providing dog bed and bowls.

Lovely stay spotless room . Bed really comfortable great night sleep . Staff very polite and helpful. It was nice to be served by who I believed to be the actual owner you don’t see this in many hotels . Large property spread out over 2 main buildings and garden chalets . On arrival I thought the chalets looked in need of a little maintenance on the outside but I am sure that inside they are as well maintained as our room (21) that was situated in the main house . Had a light menu early meal...

What a great hotel. It is quite isolated, but is a little gem. Built in the 1930s, it retains many of its original art deco features and has been well maintained and sympathetically furnished for the period. After storms, we had a short power cut and I almost expected to hear a scream from a maid discovering a crime and Hercule Poirot appearing. The food was reasonable, if not sparkling but we did have a powercut in the middle of dinner and they coped admirably. The staff seemed quite...

We had a great stay and were well looked after by the staff. The room was excellent with a comfortable bed and what can only be described as excellent heating from two wall mounted heaters. Tea/coffee etc and good television. Hot water all the time and I mean HOT. Be careful when you use the hot tap. In some travel lodges you have to wait ages for hot water but not at Killington Lakes. Only downside was a bit of mould in the bathroom. The car park is used by the service station cars so is not...

Overall great weekend at Lakeside Hotel Spa . Great spa & lakeview room the views are spectacular. Cant wait to go back . Thank you Lakeside Hotel Spa for a lovely Anniversary weekend in the snowy lakes .

Nice hotel, 5 minutes to the promenade and town. Lovely breakfast, nice big rooms. A bit dated but in a quant way.

All in all it was a very nice stay food was excellent room was very good only thing that took the edge of the whole experience was we were told breakfast finished at ten we got down at 9-32 and a snoty waitress said breakfast finished at 9-30 I pointed out it’s only two minutes past surely you can squeeze us in no chance spoilt the whole experience

a warm welcome on arrival, shown to our room, if needing anything just ask. we found the staff to be polite and helpful just as it should be.

Nice place, right time of the year. Cabin and hot tub were excellent. The shared pool leaves a little to be desired for young kids. Especially those who may not be confident in the water. I would go back and stay in Lodge 15 Langsdale again. Short trips in the car gave great views of the area and loads to do.
