"The staff were really friendly and helpful. The golf buggy taking us from the beach house to the main hotel was great for my elderly mum. Room was spacious and airy and had a lovely terrace. Food in the pizzeria was mediocre- had to send cold and dry pasta dish back - but the food in the brasserie was excellent and breakfasts were lovely!"

"The hotel was nice and well located. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner in Bareca restaurant was absolutely amazing, the grill dishes are highly recommend. I hope to be back and spend more time in Scarborough."

"We were met by a lovely friendly receptionist on arrival and everything thereafter was just perfect. All the staff were very friendly, the food was excellent, we loved the hotels decor and ambience. We will definitely be going again 👏👏👏"

"Outside Wall - Gatez had a lot of scaffolding but the room was great -top quality local bath products & tea tray items The room had been refurbished with new carpets & Bathroom was nice & fresh One of the best breakfasts I’ve had / high quality continental breakfast plus cooked to order hot breakfast made for a lovely stay The front of hotel is have extensive work fine but the rear of property well maintained & lovely grounds Staff were very personable & helpful too"

"Stopped for just one night, check in was okay. We had a room on the 3rd floor, the lift only goes as far as the 2nd, so worth noting if you struggle with stairs. Our room was at the rear of the property, so the 'view" was of the poorly maintained properties sof which sadly there are plenty in Scarborough so not fantastic. Room was sufficient for one night, bathroom was modern with a walk in rain shower. Breakfast had plenty of choices of fruit, cereal and pastries. Unfortunately the cooked breakfast was from a hot counter, freshly cooked would have been so much nicer."
