"Although breakfast was provided we choose to go to the local garden centre which is near the Park and Ride terminal where you can visit Whitby after your breakfast. The hotel is all we needed large car park , there is a large supermarket and petrol station nearby, very convenient."

"Had a great time with friends last night. We all said the hotel was very good and we would come back. The inside looks like it has been renovated recently and they are in the process of renovating the outside with scaffolding up at the moment. The room was great with a massive comfortable bed. I would say the only comments about the shower room is that the shower head needs replacing and the window was a bit tired and wasn’t possible to open it for ventilation and there didn’t seem to be a working fan. The breakfast was lovely and very well cooked with plenty of choice on both the hot and cold sides of the buffet. Overall great."

"The hotel was very well decorated and charming for how old the buildings. It had many facilities available, everything was really well communicated, the restaurant was great and very pet friendly. Worth knowing if we bring our digs next time."

"We had a great time, the staff were amazing to us! The building is a lovely throwback to an era long gone. This also means it’s a bit tired and needs some attention in the corridors and also electrical rewiring in the rooms. But a great historical building staffed by lovely people."
