"Second time we have stayed at the Clifton hotel both times have been a pleasurable stay we booked a room with a wonderful sea view , the room was clean & tidy with a large walk in shower , parking was a breeze using the hotel car park the staff were friendly & helpful we would definitely recommend this hotel A++++"

"Street front location with a huge car park at the rear which brings you in via the beer garden. Lovely outside area with comfy seating and plants. The inn is quirky, but in a good way as you would expect from an old building. Lovely rooms, each decorated differently and very clean and comfortable. Refreshments tray is well stocked as is the bathroom toiletries. The towels were as big as a bed blanket and from Next. Cooked breakfast was delicious and locally sourced from the nearby butcher. Good selection of drinks in the bar. The restaurant menu looked very nice, although we didn't partake of an evening meal. Hosts were very welcoming. We arrived well before the stated check in time but without a blink we were given our room key. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Yorkshire."

"In a good location close to "whale jaw" steps and West Cliff lift. Room is clean with a good shower and comfy bed. Staff helpful when I was struggling with self check in."

"Staff were very helpful and polite. The lobby was stunning. The hotel had a large bar area with good atmosphere. The corridors felt a bit tired but the room was a good size and clean. Would definitely recommend this place."

"I like the original victorian feel needs the cleaners to be bit more thorough and could do with a bit more maintenance like mold and mildew is not good but the pool area is amazing but very slippy needs more walkable mats in there I witnessed the staff fallbover with a bundle of towels in his hand But overall my stay was comfortable"
