"Hotel has seen better days, old original part looks lovely, but the Newest part of building (bedrooms furthest away from Road) a bit dated and in need of renovation. Old furniture which was chipped and dated, old carpets. However our bed was comfortable and hotel was fine for one night stay. Good value for money. "

"Malmaison is conveniently located a few blocks away from the main train station for Birmingham, and this is in the middle of all the action in the central city, even part of the Mailbox mall with a movie theater and excellent restaurant-bar-pub choices."

"We use this hotel as it is central to theatre land and lots of great restaurants. Room was excellent, clean and very comfortable. The only downside was our complimentary mini bar had not been restocked after the previous occupancy. This was soon rectified following a call to reception. The staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was plentiful with both hot and cold choices."

"Room was spacious but basic & could do with a good dust. Kitchen was very basic and i would not have wanted to do more than make a cup of tea in it. "
