"We found the farm easily but then slightly to work out how to check in as our phone reception was non-existent so we couldn't access our confirmation for instructions. Thankfully our host, Judith, saw us and came out to help! The Wheel House was far bigger than anticipated, but coupled with the huge shared garden, it was the perfect destination for 3 friends and a dog to relax, soaking up the incredible views and slowing down for a few days. The 2 other cottages on site were also occupied: the adjoining property also directly accessed the garden from their cottage, whilst the third had access via a gate, but there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the garden without crowding one another. The 3 bedrooms and bathrooms were ideal as it meant we didn't have to queue for showers etc., although the underfloor heating in the family bathroom didn't seem to turn off, so it got a bit warm in there at times. The kitchen had all the crockery, utensils, pots etc. we needed to cook 3 meals from scratch, though there weren't many of the basics (e.g., no cooking oil, coffee, tin foil etc.). There are various supermarkets within a ~15 min drive so it was easy to remedy this. There is plenty of seating both indoors and out, so it would be ideal for a gathering, and the tennis court and games room would provide plenty of entertainment for the young (at heart) guests! We visited the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth & took the Colyton/Seaton Tramway, with a trip to Lyme Regis. Fantastic!"

Lanes near property with large potholes, burst our tyre. No phone signal. But use of wifi. A very clean modern cottage, would recommend."
