We had a lovely night away, was treated to a bottle of wine and had a absolutely amazing night! Breakfast was to die for. Only thing I could recommend is maybe something for younger adults to do in the evening such as pool table or fruit machines
Pleasant hotel with large comfortable bedroom.Interesting bathroom products.Badly organised bar as clean glasses etc noisily rattle through public areas.Typical golf hotel as nowhere interesting for non golfers to walk..General decor needs a refresh.Plenty of free car parking.
This hotel is very close to the airport, has extremely friendly staff, good rooms and a good kitchen.

If you're considering a golfing holiday, then you'd be well advised to set your sights on Essex. In addition to boasting beautiful beaches, plenty of historic and family-friendly attractions and excellent shopping facilities, Essex also sports some spectacular and challenging golf courses. Whether you want to tour as many as you can or focus on the tests offered by a particular green, there is a good variety of accommodation in the area. However, possibly the best way to stay on top of your game and ensure that you get to swing your club as often as you like, is to book a golf hotel in Essex that has its own course.
Booking into a golf hotel doesn't have to be an extravagant affair; there are some great golf hotels in Essex that come at great rates. The Manor of Groves hotel in Sawbridgeworth not only offers elegant and comfortable rooms, but has its own 6,237-yard green with expansive fairways and expert tuition for those who want to improve their skills. The course is set in 150 acres of stunning parkland, making it one of the most picturesque courses in the county.
However, if surrounding yourself with the finer things in life is an important part of your downtime then there are some truly luxurious golf hotels in the county. The Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf and Spa, set just outside historic Colchester, offers a two AA-starred restaurant, an on-site gym and a sublimely serene spa offering a range of relaxing and refreshing treatments. Its two championship-level, 18-hole golf courses are enough to test even the most seasoned club-swinger, and the greens have played host to luminaries from the PGA Seniors Championship and the Ladies European Tour Access Series.
If you'd rather not put all your golf balls in one hole, there are some excellent hotels near golf courses allowing you to pit yourself against various greens. The Blue Ivy Hotel in Colchester offers luxurious accommodation set in a refined, Georgian building. It also happens to be close to some superb golf courses, including those found at the Colchester Golf Club and the Birch Grove Golf Club. If you're travelling with youngsters, the Playgolf Golf Club offers lessons for juniors, making this an ideal day out for golf-loving families.
Essex is cementing its position as a firm favourite for golfers. Booking into a golf hotel in the county can put the swing back into your break!
