"This hotel worked for us as an overnight pre-flight. The room was comfortable and no noise from the airport. A bit of noise from fellow guests during the night, but the hotel allowed us an easy early flight check-in, and breakfast was good too."

"My third stay at this wonderful hotel this year. Feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, very tranquil. The rooms are huge (but no air con) beds are comfy, Delicious breakfast, staff are very helpful and friendly and would definitely recommend DRAKES Al-Fresco restaurant. The spa/swimming facilities are a lovely bonus. Can't recommend this hotel enough, I've booked to go again with different friends in a few weeks, pure relaxation."

"I have been staying at this hotel now for the past two years or so and it is stunning. The rooms are spotless with large wide screen tv’s. The only negative is the price of food and drink in the bar and restaurant. I paid £11 for a glass of wine there though staff are attentative. The cost for a room for the night if booked online is under £100 which is good value. I will be staying here again no doubt at all."

"All good, pleasant and helpful staff, decent breakfast, room and common areas all well cleaned. Great for transport links, Excellent value. Only gripe was an extremely hot room - set right in the roof of the property with fairly limited ventilation and headroom. Difficult to complain as I had been ungraded to this room when travelling alone prior to my family joining me the following day for a long weekend break. It was also an uncommonly hot period in a heatwave. But maybe ask not to be put in a roof room on a hot day."

"We enjoyed our stay at The County Hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had an economy double room in the annexe building. The room was clean and basic, ideal for a one night stay. The vegetarian full English breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay at this hotel again"

"Hotel is good, was moved to a bigger bedroom without any fuss, the staff were great Breakfast was nice and hot and the swimming pool facilities were ok but a little tired Overall I would recommend this hotel, especially if going to the zoo, a ten minute drive"
