The compasses inn is a hidden gem. It is far from any main roads and has been voted one of the best pubs for many years. Dining is uncoventional in that you have to choos from many options from a blackboard (rather quaint). The staff are extremely freindly

Authentic, rural pub. Was very busy the eveningbwe stayed but the staff were very fruendly & efficient. Dinner was great, pub food extremely well cooked & delicious! Perfect short stay.

Absolutely fantastic place, friendly service, some of the best beers I’ve ever had and good pub food. The accommodation was immaculate, clean and good quality. I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
