"Loved the apartment, it was fairly compact but had everything we needed. Kitchen was really well equipped, toiletries provided. Great location just off the bottom of the Royal Mile meant everything was within walking distance. It was nice being just off the main road as it was so quiet, we didn’t hear any people / traffic. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The only thing I wasn’t keen on was the luggage storage - a very small cupboard which you accessed yourself with a key from reception. You were asked to sign a disclaimer saying the hotel would accept no responsibility, and it didn’t feel as secure as I would have liked. I think the standard ticket system where the staff are the only ones with access would be easy to implement and provide better security. "

"Fantastic stay. Great welcome at reception when checking in. We were in a suite and the room was massive. Could do with some more storage space, but for the two of us for two days it was sufficient. Its a great location and characteristic building. The tram is a 2 min walk away to be able to get into the centre of Edinburgh. Would not hesitate to stay here again. For the continental breakfast option, it could do with ham and cheese being available as well as more exciting pastries."
