"I enjoyed my stay immensely"

"Pros: Overall beautiful hotel with lovely grounds. Clean comfortable room. Friendly dinner staff and nice food. Cons: Didn’t use the pool area as fortunately it was a lovely day so enjoyed spending time in the grounds, however for such a vast size hotel the pool does let it down as it is so small. Breakfast was chaotic, staff seemed unable to cope with the amount of people, no cutlery ready (my cereal Actually went soggy waiting for the waiter to find me a spoon). I my husband and I asked for poached eggs which they happily ordered then messed up. "

"The hotel building and the grounds are lovely, but our room was very disappointing. The mattress was so soft you could feel the hard divan base when you laid on it. It was also on wheels and slid across the room at the slightest bit of movement. The bathroom was tiny and poorly maintained. There were mosaic tiles missing from the floor when we arrived and another one came up when my wife walked on it. The shower door had a large build up of grime along the bottom edge. It wasn’t an extremely expensive stay, so I wasn’t expecting 5 star, but simple maintenance, cleanliness and a comfortable bed are the absolute basics."

"Very disappointed on arrival. The hotel looks run down. Had to call a mobile number when we arrived. Poorly sign posted to get around the hotel, which was like a maze. It states that breakfast is included, the staff said that they need to remove this from the website. Won't be staying here again."
