The welcoming lady was superb and the equipment adequate. The location is not very good but parking excellent. Beds could be better. Bad thing was that there was no access to the garden despite being called a garden apartment

Manchester is a relatively compact city, with many attractions in its central area and a colourful history that goes right back to the Romans. The tram system has been imaginatively restored and become an attraction in itself, and if you've come here expecting an industrial heartland you'll only be partially correct! Manchester is still a thriving city, and a centre for textile manufacturing as it has been for hundreds of years. But nowadays you'll also find many nature reserves and parks, and a nice balance between the urban and rural elements. Book in to a Manchester hotel or guesthouse in the city centre or in Greater Manchester and you'll have a wonderful time.
Didsbury Park is one of Manchester's most attractive green spaces. It is the proud holder of an award for excellence from Green Flag, and you'll find it in the semi-rural village of Didsbury in Greater Manchester. The village itself is historic and full of interest. You can easily spend a whole day here browsing around its shops and enjoying refreshments at the many pubs, restaurants and cafés. Didsbury Park has always been a popular venue with the locals as well as with folk from the inner city, who come here to get away from the noise and bustle. Picnic, socialise, exercise and let the kids loose in designated play areas when you come here from your Manchester hotel base.
One of the most attractive things about Manchester is that the city has got the balance right between urban areas and green open spaces, and you never feel claustrophobic or stressed out. Even if your Manchester hotel is in the very heart of the city you'll find a park of some description within easy walking distance. You can reach Didsbury Park easily on public transport from the city centre, and enjoy a fun and relaxing day out with the family. There's a picnic area, bowling greens, café and football pitch, as well as an attractive pavilion. Dogs aren't allowed in, but everyone else is welcome - so pop along to enjoy the sun and a great atmosphere.
