Although I have stayed at 5 star hotels on several occasions, I was amazed by the standard of service of this hotel. All the hotel staff were extremely polite and gave the true meaning to the word "valued" customer. From the first time I entered the hotel it was a different experience all together. I wasn't sure about booking this hotel, as I'd never heard of it. However it was amazing. It is small but that actually adds to the experience. We usually prefer larger hotels but this was truly 5*. It really feels like a special place. The staff all get the balance of attentive & friendly right. If we needed anything they seemed to arrive at just the right time. Location was excellent and free car/taxi service from hotel if car and driver were around. Cost was high.

Valet and doorman greeted us with a smile and remembered our name each time we left and returned! Wait staff in the dining rooms were so friendly and very attentive. Beautifully decorated for Christmas!

Our welcome from Alijia was very warm and friendly. She couldn’t do any more to make us very welcome. All staff were very attentive. Our room was comfortable but the shower needs an overhaul. Good pressure on shower, but curtain not good. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will return.

Convenient

The Mitre is a great old hotel, with loads of character. The location is fantastic for all amenities and the staff are very attentive. We really enjoyed our stay.

Can't get a better location, near to Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Sq, Buckingham Palace...the hotel itself is immaculate, the double room was of a reasonable size, the bed so comfortable and bathroom well appointed. Shower was excellent, complimentary drinks on arrival and cookies and cranberry juice / water in the room. Downsides..not many, view was terrible and there was a slightly unusual smell in the room which you only really noticed first entering.

We have had the most wonderful stay. All the staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you we hope to return in the future
