"This cottage is ideally located 4 minutes' walk halfway between the bus garage and the historic area of Hexham, and just 10 minutes from the station. There are plenty of eating places and takeaways nearby and a convenience store just a couple of minutes seat. The cottage itself was immaculate, well-equipped and beautifully furnished, with high quality towels and linen and toiletries. To correct an earlier review, there is a potato peeler. "Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "
