"The food is excellent i enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Room was very clean and the staff were all very helpful. Only one slight negative point...there was no shaver socket in the bathroom. Lovely location on the river and caught sight of some deer in the grounds early in the morning. I would definitely stay there again."

"We really enjoyed our stay for two nights at Battlesteads. Two things really stood out - the food was excellent (except chips - a minor thing), and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming without being overbearing. The last point, about how all staff were nice to interact with, was a major selling point and is why we will return. A special shout out to Dan ("Dan, Dan, the beverage man") for being so helpful and recommending Flyte - a top tip! Ad Gefrin sold two bottles to us as a result! Such a pleasant time, great food, and drink, and an impressive walking guide (which we used) and an observatory on the door step!"
