"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

"Dunkirk cottage provided us with all we needed for our holiday in Roman wall country.. well presented and cosy to come home to in the evening.. central heating instant for chilly evenings. A bonus was the river walk to the George for an evening drink.close proximity to lots of Roman sites.owners dealt instantly with any issues that arose..thanks for perfect holiday accomadation."

"A nice stay close to all of Hadrians walls main attractions and lots of walks. Property was clean and tidy with everything we needed. Parking nearby or on street after 6pm. Overall a well located and comfortable place to stay. "
