The room was very comfortable and met all our needs during our stay. David, the host, went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our time, and recommended activities and places to visit in the local area and Edinburgh as a whole- his breakfast was also high quality! Very much enjoyed and would return again if visiting Edinburgh!

We had a great time on a Weekend city break to Edinburgh, on arrival all staff were very welcoming and telling us times for breakfast and bar and quick check in. Room was so nice and thoughout the hotel for lovely decorated for Christmas. Bar staff were friendly and great cocktails, Quick and easy check out.

This was a great place to stay for our family trip to Edinburgh. The tram station is right outside and only 20 mins ins. We drove and parking was straight forward albeit chargeable at £8 per day. The pool was a real added bonus for our kids after a long day of tourism. Only slight issue for me is our kids are getting older and Novotels concept of a "family" room is starting to look less desirable than the Premier Inns as the sofa bed is tight. The Murrayfield Hotel is the gem of Edinburgh. I had the pleasure of staying 4 nights. It’s a quick bus ride to Edinburgh Castle. In a great old neighbourhood of Edinburgh with excellent local shops, a few restaurants and cafes nearby. The room. My room had very high ceilings with the original plaster work. Just got home from a weekend here and it was absolutely beautiful... breakfast options were great and swimming pool, sauna and steam room were great. My only bad point was the mattress wasnt all that but maybe its be being fussy. Netherless a beautiful place and we will be back in the summer

I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price. Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?) If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St. We'll stay here again. Loved it.

We had an amazing stay! Lovely and helpful staff. I am very thankful! I planned a surprise for my partner as it was his birthday, soni asked if they can do it for me, they said they don’t do that but they will note of it but the staff did an extra mile and also gave us free drinks! It was simple but very special, he was surprised! ❤️ thank you so much. We will surely recommend and come back again.

Friendly and welcoming staff - nothing was too much trouble for them. Really clean and spacious room and really good value for money. I will never book another hotel when in Edinburgh again. I will always book this one

Hotel and Spa staff were very welcoming and helpful. Chef was amazing cooked a special vegan meal for my daughter each night we ate in hotel, as there was nothing suitable for her on menu. Room was comfortable and we had everything we required (only feedback I would give is that it would have been more useful to have a couple more sockets available).
